Product Details
Indication:
Treatment for lower respiratory tract infections, uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections, empiric therapy, septicemia
Dosage:
1. Pneumonia: 1 to 2g every 50mg /kg body weight per dose every 12 hours
2. mild to moderate uncomplicated UTIs 500mg to 1g every 50mg/kg body weight pe dose every 12 hours
3. severe uncomplicated or complicated UTIs: 2g every 50mg/kg body weight per dose every 12 hours
Contraindiction:
Hypersensitivity to cefepime, cephalosporins, penicillins, other betalactam antibiotics or any component of the product.
Warnings and Precautions:
Careful inquiry should be made prior to cefalexin therapy to determine whether the patient has had previous hypersensititvity reactions to cefalexin, cephalosporins, penicillins, or other drugs.
Undesirable Effects:
Most Common: Gastrointestinal symptoms and hypersensitivity reactions, fever, chills, dyspnea
